Parham "A Celebration of Spring"

We were at the Parham "Celebration Of Spring" event on the 10th April 2011. This is a new event and was fabulous. There were lots of visitors and the weather was just like mid summer. Our display of seedlings generated great interest and many people went home nursing a pot of Rhubard, Tomatoes and Chillie or lettuce plants. We ran a Sunflower Growing Competition which was popular. The prizes ( provided by Shoots Garden Centre ) will be awarded on the basis of photographs returned to us or e-mailed at the Parham Autumn Foraging event.

We raised over £200 in dontations so well done everybody and thank you to all our supporters !

Waiting List On Amberley Road

I know that the length of the waiting lists is of great concern to all those keen to start allotment growing in Storrington. As you know (if you have read this web site ) we have made great progress since we started managing the allotments having increased the number of plotholders from 19 to an expected 44 in the new 2011-2012 growing season. There is now a waiting lists of 17 for our site. The majority of those on the waiting list joined the list in 2010.

If there are any landowners in or around Storrington who would concider leasing ( or selling ) S.A.G.A some more suitable  land to accomodate this backlog we would much appreciate you getting in contact with us !
